What we believe

We believe in one God, the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. His divine nature can be summed up in one word – LOVE. God is love, and His amazing love extends to everything and everyone that He has made. Before any of us were born, God knew us, loved us and had a purpose for each of our lives.

We believe that sin has separated us from the love of God and his purpose for us.

We believe that Jesus, who is the Son of God and One with God the Father, has died on a cross to pay the penalty for our sins. Through his resurrection He has won the victory over sin and restored us to relationship with our loving Father. Faith in Jesus is the only way to be reconciled to God. In order to receive forgiveness and a new birth we must repent of our sins, put our faith in the living Lord Jesus, be baptised with water, and live according to his teachings and commands. If we do this, Jesus promises to come and live within each one of us through His Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Holy Spirit fills us with love, hope and power. He restores God’s purpose to our lives and equips us with every gift that we need in order to accomplish that purpose. We are not called to live out our purpose in isolation. We believe that the Church is God’s expression of His presence on Earth. Each of us are called to worship and fellowship together regularly, to serve our communities and to share our faith so that all may be saved.

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to mankind. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives.

We believe that one day Jesus will return, as He promised. All humankind will be judged, and faith in Jesus is the only guarantee that our eternity will be spent with Him in heaven.
